[wpc] Blur

I have a whole bunch of out-of-focus images from my last photo session… Apparently mastering manual exposure doesn’t immediately give you magic wand to capture tack sharp images. Though it seems so relevant to this weeks’ theme, but of course I won’t use it for this challenge. I’m just too ashamed to display them… They are not something I can be proud of ^___*

Blur in a picture doesn’t interest me at all until now. This challenge helps me find the beauty in a blurry image. I’ve never imagined before that blur can be used to create artistry in an image. I supposed this is one from many advantages of joining Weekly Photo Challenge 😉

EXIF data: 1/100sec at f/2.8, ISO 4000

Pullback: The object is put under my desk lamp, shot without flash. I blurred it deliberately by shooting in manual focus.

Post-processing: a bit of cropping in PS because the object is slightly off the center, and resizing for web upload.

EXIF data: 1/200sec at f/2.8, ISO 4000

Pullback: The object is put slightly away from my desk lamp, shot without flash. I blurred it deliberately by shooting in manual focus.

Post-processing: resizing for web upload.

From the same pullback and metadata as the picture above, I used PS to transform this image to artistry by using texture and a bit of color boosting.
